RXP/T-X 325 | Oil Catch Can
What is an oil catch can, why is it essential? The factory system recirculates crankcase air back into the intake, but this air often contains oil, moisture, and other combustion byproducts that contaminates the air feeding the supercharger. This oil-laden air coats the supercharger compressor blades, charge tubes, intercooler, and intake valves, potentially altering the air/fuel ratio and reducing the effective octane of the mixture entering the cylinder. Since oil has a low knock threshold, the more oil present in the incoming air, the lower the knock protection of the fuel being used.
The EVP Catch Can Kit is designed to address and eliminate these issues for stock to high-horsepower setups. The EVP CNC-machined billet aluminum separator features an internal baffle design with perforated stainless steel cylinder and additional screening to ensure proper condensation for oil infused vapors. This design effectively separates the oil from the mixture, preventing it from siphoning back out, while the remaining vapor escaped via the filter, enhancing overall performance.
The catch can's body is anodized black, and all hardware is stainless steel. The removable cap allows ofr easy disassembly and cleaning when needed.
